FAQs: About FCCI’s ongoing research and education initiatives
Q: What other programming does FCCI offer?
A: FCCI is a scholar-led nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing information asymmetry in the cacao and chocolate industry. We are specifically focused on tending to the information needs and objectives of cacao producers and those who support them worldwide. FCCI works on research and education from the perspective of the social sciences and humanities in service of a more equitable cacao-chocolate supply chain. To keep up with our activities and offerings, subscribe to our newsletter or follow us via social media at Facebook, Instagram, or Linkedin.
Q: As a scholar, how can I be involved with FCCI?
A: FCCI engages with an array of engaged scholars – e.g. university or institute professors, lecturers, independent researchers, graduate students – that are actively working on issues related to cacao and chocolate and would like to make their research more widely accessible to the cacao-chocolate community. If you are a scholar interested in accessing resources, sharing your work with a broader audience, or collaborating with us on a research project, please contact our executive director José López Ganem (jose@chocolateinstitute.org).
Q: As an industry stakeholder, how can I be involved with FCCI?
A: For cacao producers, industry stakeholders, or chocolate consumers in need of information or seeking to collaborate with our team of scholars, please contact our executive director José López Ganem (jose@chocolateinstitute.org) with a detailed expression of your interest. Additionally, if you would like to see FCCI continue working toward its goal of producing free, open access resources, consider making a donation today. The Fine Cacao and Chocolate Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and nonpartisan organization and all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of US law.
